Matiatia Bay is majestically located on a Waiheke Island hillside with magnificent views across the Hauraki Gulf back to central Auckland. Our placement and resulting privacy provides a magnificent wedding venue that is luxurious, indulgent, and very personal. Matiatia Bay can hold weddings for up to 60 guests.
Our Wedding Package can be tailored to your exact requirements, but normally includes:
Waiheke Island Suite Accommodation
- Accommodation in your choice of luxury Matiatia Bay suites on the wedding night (and for any further nights you require). Your room has floor to ceiling views of the sea, islands and cityscape of Auckland - and is your own private paradise!
- First option to book the remaining suite if required, for family / friends to stay
- Champagne / chocolates and other "honeymoon touches" in your suite
- A fabulous breakfast-to-order, delivered to your suite the day after the wedding
- Late checkout until 1pm if required (subject to availability)
The Wedding Day - Exclusive Use of Matiatia Bay
- Full use of the main residence kitchen, for food and beverage preparation
- Use of a guest bedroom and en-suite bathroom in the owner's residence for preparation (of the bride, groom, bridal party, and any guests) on your wedding day
- Use of the Mediterranean Courtyard with Pergola and Water Feature, OR the Patio and Lounge which looks out towards Auckland City, for your ceremony / reception.
- Full use of Matiatia Bay for wedding photos (grounds presented in immaculate order)
- Fresh flowers placed in the guest suites and main residence

- Arrange your own Photographer for the day, or Matiatia Bay can provide one for you
- Arrange your own Celebrant, or Matiatia Bay can provide one for you
